Anna Sesonske

Specializations: Contemporary & Jazz

Anna started dancing at the Isabelle School of Dance at the age of 3. She danced there for 15 years, with 9 of those years on the competition team. After graduating high school, Anna attended Vassar College, where she continued to pursue her love of dance. There, she co-founded a student run dance organization, Coalesce Dance Ensemble, with the goal of providing a collaborative environment for exploring the artistic process of dance. As co-founder, Anna taught weekly classes and choreographed pieces for their yearly showcases. Anna also participated in Vassar’s dedicated tap dance group, Vassar On Tap. As a member, she taught weekly tap classes, choreographed for their shows, and learned and performed tap repertory. She also continued to grow as a dancer through faculty taught ballet and modern classes.
In 2021, Anna graduated from Vassar with a B.A. in Chemistry and a minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. Since then, she has returned to ISD as a faculty member, teaching classes in various styles and choreographing for their competition team.
In her classes, Anna likes to encourage kids to explore their own artistry and connection to dance. Outside of the studio, she works as an analytical chemist at a local pharmaceutical company.
