Danielle Selby (BFA SUNY Brockport) is a performer, teacher and choreographer from Albany, NY. Her choreography has been performed at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research, Michigan Youth Arts Festival, RAD Fest, Built on Stilts, Detroit Dance Race, The House of Blues in New Orleans, Judson Church and others. Danielle returned to New York after living in Michigan for several years, where she created work for Velocity (formerly Happendance professional company), Dance Lansing and for her own company SelbyDance. Danielle still performs locally with Nacre Dance Group in their annual reproduction of Charles Weidman's Christmas Oratorio. As a teacher her goal is for students to feel strong, beautiful and accomplished through moments of play and challenge.
