Mara Little
Specialties: Hip Hop, Tap, Ready Set Dance
Mara has been dancing at ISD since the age of 5 and has trained in a variety of styles, including hip hop, tap, jazz, contemporary, and modern. She spent eight years as a teaching assistant, supporting students in hip hop, tap, jazz, and Ready Set Dance. Most recently, she co-taught Ready Set Dance I–III with Ms. Rebecca on Saturdays. Mara is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Childhood Education at Russell Sage College and will graduate this December. She will begin her dual master’s program in Special Education and Literacy (K–12) this spring. While at Sage, Mara is an active member of the Dance Ensemble, where she continues to take technique classes to expand her dance education and refine her skills. Mara is thrilled to begin her first year as a teacher at ISD - her home studio - and share her love of dance and working with children. In her classes, she strives to create an inclusive, creative, and kind environment where students can fall in love with dance just as she did.
